To Join or Not To Join....

.... A teachers union or a professional association?

As an employee in a "Right to Work" state, you need to know what your legal options are regarding teacher union membership. The information on the reverse side of this flyer will greatly assist you in making an informed decision about union representation.

As an employee in a "Right to Work" state, you cannot be legally forced to join a union. You can choose to belong to other associations that may better fit your needs, desires and goals as a professional educator.

As a Christian teacher, perhaps you have concerns with certain political and educational policies promoted by your union. You may have joined a union because you believe only a union can provide you with liability insurance and access to legal assistance.

As a Christian teacher, union member or not, you should know what your rights are as a religious person working in the public sector. Perhaps you have a desire to learn how you can actively live out your faith in your work.
