ADOPT AN EDUCATOR

HOME
Adopt An Educator* is a unique program that endeavors to promote confidence and increase effectiveness of our nation's educators. Concerned individuals and groups "adopt" educators by offering support and providing assistance in their classrooms or offices. This support can include anything from correcting Friday's spelling test to organizing the school's tutoring program.

Take a moment to consider how you or your group can offer prayers, friendship, and time to an adoptee. Such involvement motivates and encourages educators toward excellence, and ultimately impacts the lives of students, the leaders of tomorrow.

Who is up for adoption?

Though teachers are the primary targets of the Adopt A Teacher program, other types of educators can also be taken under your wing. Here are a few suggestions.

  • Coach
  • Principal
  • Nurse
  • Librarian
  • School Board Member
  • Guidance Counselor
  • Gifted Program Facilitator
  • Reading Specialist

Goals

  • To improve the state of education by strengthening, encouraging, and supporting educators through prayer, interaction, and classroom assistance.
  • To positively impact the lives and careers of educators through Christian concern and practical help.
  • To help meet individual nees of pupils by tutoring or freeing teachers from other tasks so they can better focus attention on students.
  • To affirm that educators and their work are important to future generations and for society as a whole.
  • To reassure educators they are not alone in pursuing excellence in education.
  • To provide skills and talents that school districts cannot otherwise afford.
