BUILD PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOL EDUCATORS THROUGH PRAYER...
1. As educators, we are role models for students. "Finally be strong in the lord, and in the strength of His might." Eph. 6:10
2. We have an immense responsibility to teach truth. "Whoever speaks, let Him speak, as it were, the utterances of God; whoever serves, let Him do so as by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever." I Peter 4:11.
3. Tensions in public education increase daily. "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power if perfected in weakness...Therefore, I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake, for when I am weak, then am I strong." II Corinthians 12:9,10
4. We often experience a sense of being alone. "For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison." II Cor. 4:17
5. As educators, we require a constant renewal of our calling. "Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day." II Cor. 4:16
6. We deal with students, staff and parents daily. "Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need." Heb. 4:16
7. We need to be encouraged, equipped, and empowered. "Equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ...for God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline." II Tim. 1:7, Heb. 13:21
