Position Title: CEAI Field Staff Employee: Regional, State, Area and/or Metropolitan Director
Reports To: Executive Director of CEAI
Purpose: To provide the local link between CEAI National office and activities with member groups. To develop contacts within a given area and network with various organizations to build for CEAI an effective outreach program. These efforts, will contribute to supporting the Christian educator, parents, and school board members to maximize their effectiveness as ambassadors of Christ called to serve in the marketplace of the public/private school.
Recommended Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Identify Field Staff Employee's target area within region, state or city.
2. Identify the key forces that will hinder or assist in developing an effective CEAI outreach program.
3. Develop a local prayer support team from various churches.
4. Develop an advisory team of 3 to 7 members to assist in the local decision-making process. (Recommend educators, parents, business people)
5. Identify various Christian ministries that work with school age students and develop a working relationship (Recommend periodic meetings with these to plan a local strategy to be more effective in ministry).
6. Build a CEAI mailing list:
- Churches and pastors with special notes of those who cooperate regularly.
- Christian public school teachers and private school teachers and administrators.
- Active Christian parents with key leaders noted.
- All public school teachers and administrators.
- Christian college personnel if it applies.
- Retired educators at all levels or those who are inactive.
- Local media sources: radio, TV, newspapers, advertisers.
7. Develop a calendar of activities planned in your area.
- Convention & association meetings, i. e. Sunday School, educational activities (school boards, teachers, administrators, university).
- CEAI Chapter meetings.
- University programs that would relate to our goals and concerns.
- School districts major activities/dates.
8. Meet with educators regularly to develop local chapters and prayer cells.
9. Develop with chapter(s), and other Christian organizations, local workshops, seminars and fund-raising banquets.
10. Identify several individuals who would work with you to speak at various functions, share with churches the purpose and goals of CEAI and work at booths representing CEAI. |
