How city reachers can minister to public schools

CITY REACHERS WHO PRAY, CARE AND SHARE MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

PRAY:

  • Identify every public school district, board member, superintendent, and school principal (database) in the counties making up your city for prayer.
  • Send the database of names to every church with "best practices" used in praying for these schools and school leaders.
  • Establish prayer groups or partner with other groups and churches so that every school has been covered with prayer.

CARE:

  • Invite the superintendent of the public school districts comprising your city to a gathering where pastors and Christian leaders ask,"What can we do to help you?" and "How can we pray for you?"
  • Establish an ongoing relationship with school administrators, principals, etc., in each geographic area of your city.
  • Call together the care ministries to interface with schools to locate students who are without appropriate food and clothes.

SHARE:

  • Call the Youth and Children's Ministry pastors and leaders together to strategize on how each student and educator may be appropriately presented with the Gospel.
  • Call the Christian family counselors and family-life pastoral staff together to strategize on how to reach each household.
  • Call the churches and para-church ministries together to develop a Christian released time program and provide information on how to develop Bible as literature, history and social study classes.
