How parents can minister to public schools.
PARENTS WHO PRAY, CARE AND SHARE MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
The following suggestions are constitutionally
appropriate ways in which I can serve public schools
PRAY:
- Pray personally for how you can be used of
God in local schools.
- Recruit a few other parents to pray with you.
- Ask your child's educators how you can specifically
pray for them.
- Yield to how God may use you to care for and share
the Gospel with people in your local schools.
CARE:
- Chat with and get to know those for whom you are praying.
- Ask what you can do to help the school/educator solve
a problem
- Seek community parents and resources to find solutions
or to help with issues.
- Relieve a teacher or principal by volunteering.
- Encourage educators by sending affirming notes or
treats delivered to teacher's lounge.
SHARE:
- Start a community Release Time program or After
School Program.
- Give educators Christian based matreials that are
legally appropriate to use in the classroom.
- Invite your child's educators to your church for
a specific event such as a Christmas program, children's choir performance,
or Teacher recognition service.
- hare your family's faith and values at your parent/teacher's
conferences.
