NEWS

WELCOME TO 2011!

Greetings this wonderful New Year! Our Eternal God knows all about this year and He has good plans for us.

TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL

Prayer: Help us to live for You alone.

Totally For God

Scripture: You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. Matthew 22:37-38NLT

 Happy New Year!

What is in your mind and in your heart for the year to come?? Jesus gives us the quintessential advice for the greatest year ever-- All for God!

The most exciting things can happen in your life when you commit your ways to God.

When your 'heart' is totally devoted to Creator God, the desires of your days will be the greatest from among all your possibilities.

With your mind centered on the 'mind of Christ,' as Paul describes in 1 Cor. 2:16, you can be capable of understanding the will of God in the long view.

The 'soul' is your eternal spiritual essence--the part of you created to experience eternity. When you love God with all your 'soul', then your eternal nature enjoys unity with God-- with good rather than evil, with love for others rather than self, with joy rather than short term pleasure, with peace rather than fear. Since the Lord tells us this is 'the greatest commandment,' it brings the greatest of blessing and benefit.

When you Love God with your whole self, body, mind, spirit, then you become the channel of God's love, peace, and joy to bring blessing into the lives of others. I pray you will ask for and receive from God the power to live according to this 'first and greatest commandment.'

Lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other's faults because of your love. Always keep yourselves united with the Holy Spirit and bind yourselves together with peace. Ephesians 4:1-3 NLT
