TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL
Prayer: We thank You and praise You, O Lord, for all that You have done this year. Please watch over the words and love planted in each student and continue Your good work in their lives. May my students be changed forever for Your Kingdom. Thank You. Amen.
End Of The Year
Scripture: Finally, brethren, we beseech and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you learned from us how you ought to live and to please God, just as you are doing, you will do so more and more. 1 Thessalonians 4:1 RSV
Can you believe it? Another school year comes to a close and you all have shared so much, cried and laughed, struggled and overcome. I know that you can hardly remember your first few prayer group meetings, but I want to encourage you to share with one another one or two significant moments or meetings that have stuck in your mind and heart this year.
Where have you grown? What hard lessons have you learned? I am sure that as you saw changes in your students you have also seen changes in each other. I know you will want to talk for a few minutes as you meet for the last time.
Remember to plan to meet at least once this summer and again as soon as school resumes. One of the reasons for a prayer group is to help you grow in your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to grow a prayer support group in your school. I pray that God has accomplished these in your life and school this year.
My prayer for you this week and this summer is that you would continue to please God, just as you are doing, “more and more.” Have a restful and safe summer. See you in September. Copyright Kathy Branzell. Email kbranzell@ceai.org
