Prayer: Lord, help us to be an encouragement to all we come in contact with especially to our students.

It is important to remember that you may be the ONLY person to give a student (or anyone else) words of encouragement. Encouragement is not usually the first thing that comes to mind when a student is sitting in front of the office or fails a test (again), but it can make a lifetime of difference. Lack of encouragement, or worse, discouragement can destroy anyone’s self-esteem. How can each of us carry out the attribute of being encouraging in our daily environment (classroom, hallways, meetings, cafeteria, office, etc.)?
