HEARING FROM GOD
Prayer: Please help us to listen to You today, Lord, and follow.
Scripture: My sheep recognize My voice; I know them, and they follow Me I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them away from Me, for My Father has given them to Me, and He is more powerful than anyone else. So no one can take them from Me. John 10:27-29 NLT
Such a joyous promise is recorded by the Apostle John, of the words of Jesus. In it we see many confirmations. First we recognize that by our faith we will be able to recognize and discern the voice of the Lord among the many voices calling out to us. Also, we realize how completely and individually we are known by our Shepherd– nothing about us surprises Him. And how comforting it is to know that we are protected by His hand and the creative might of the One who made creation– we are secure in His love and provision.
Today the Lord will ensure that I hear Him, if only I will listen for Him and respond. I pray this day is one when you know you are hearing from God about how to serve Him by loving others.

Thanks for continuing to be a positive voice among the many fine devotionals written for CEAI. Also, thank you for all the years of service you have given to this excellent Christian organization. Looik forward to your continued service. Are you still serving as pastor of a church in the L.A. area? My sister still lives in Chino although she is currently in the Pomona Valley Hospital. I would love to attend one of your services when I visit her hopefully this summer.
