FOLLOW DIRECTIONS

Prayer: Dear Lord, what a wonderful guidebook you have provided for us. Show us clearly each day what path we should follow. In the name of our Guide, Jesus. Amen

Scripture: Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV

Once when taking some teens to Mexico City, we followed a professional guidebook that kept us laughing as well as on track. The authors went to extremes to make sure we didn’t get lost. The book even described a dilapidated barn on the side of the road with two trees and cows in the field on the opposite side.

A missionary we were planning to visit gave us specific directions, too. When we came into their town, we were to turn by the triangular-shaped building. We did that and became hopelessly lost. Eventually we got back to the highway and started again. Aha! It turned out that there were two triangular buildings in that city.

You give directions to your pupils every day. You probably strive to make them as clear as possible so they can maneuver through their assignments with minimal difficulty. God has done the same for us. Be sure to consult His directions regularly.
