PATIENCE – WHERE IS IT FOUND?
September 26, 2019

Prayer: Dear Lord, today I want to continue in prayer to wait and watch for Your perfect will and then I will follow.

Scripture: Patient endurance is what you need now, so you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. Hebrews 10:36NLT

I have often wondered why it is so difficult for me to wait for things– why I am so impatient.  Lately it has been becoming clearer to me.  I am impatient because I was obsessed with having MY way, in MY time.  But when I begin to learn the blessing of waiting upon the Lord, then I start to discover patience.  It is no longer so urgent that I have my wishes fulfilled, let alone in my anticipated time line.

The more you and I can discover that the most important thing is what our Lord wills and what His plans call upon us to do, say, and experience, then the more we are at peace with the events of each day.  Contentment comes– surprisingly enough– with the surrender of self will.

Want it your way?  How about wanting it God’s way!  I guarantee that is much more satisfying.

I never thought I could ever live a life of sacrifice as I am a caregiver for my husband, father, and my grandchildren, and my part time job is as a caregiver for special needs children. God has fulfilled my goal of being used in a great and mighty way! Many people wonder how I do it and how I can be so patient and all I can say is I’m waiting on the Lord for Him to use me. Little did I know He was developing patience in me to do what I do now.
