CHOICE PREPARATION
November 11, 2019

Prayer: I praise You today, Lord, that I am Your choice vessel to influence these lives for You and Your service.  Please draw each of my students to accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Thank You Lord. Amen.

Scripture:  Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful in speech and action.  Acts 7:22 NIV

Most Christian parents want their children to be prepared to serve the Lord. Many feel that Christians have no business in the public school, and sacrifice to either home school their children or send them to a private Christian school. It’s wonderful that some parents have that option. This Christian training prepares them significantly for life in the world in service to Christ.

But what of those whose parents choose to send to public schools, or who can’t afford a Christian education? Can God make a way for these children, for their preparation and usefulness to Him? Apparently, yes. Both Moses and Daniel were young men educated in a secular culture for remarkable deeds of service. Both young men served in high positions because God had chosen them and fitted them through secular means.

As public school teachers, we train many who will never know Christ as Savior, but we also influence some that God will choose to use for His service. Because of their familiarity with the culture of the day, God may have a special place in government, or secular ministry for these men and women. God is no respecter of persons. He knows how to use even the most common things for His glory.
