GRACE
February 19, 2020

Prayer: Lord, I praise you for the grace that you allow me to walk in and receive. Today, help me to choose to walk in that grace as I interact with those around me and seek to solve conflict in my classroom.

Scripture: The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. The Lord protects the unwary; when I was brought low, he saved me. Psalm 116:5-6 NIV

What does grace look like in the classroom? Grace defined is: God’s riches at Christ’s expense. He paid it all. He gave all. As Christian educators, we need to keep that gift foremost in our mind each and every day we cross the threshold of our school’s door. As we interact with colleagues and students, there is an inevitable confrontation over temporary and many times, insignificant issues. Keep the big picture in mind before entering into the conflict. How does it affect eternity? What will it matter even tomorrow? Pray in that split second of decision (which will help us not to say something we will regret) and seek to extend grace. It doesn’t mean look the other way, it means to look right into the conflict and ask for His righteousness and grace to solve it in a way that will be pleasing to Him.

Quote for the Day: You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. Wayne Gretzky
