LIVING WISELY, ATTRACTING OTHERS TO CHRIST

Prayer: Heavenly Father, We want to live wisely today. Please help us. Thank You. Amen.
Scripture: Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.
Col. 4:5-6 NLT
God’s word teaches us that we who are Christ-followers have yielded up our priorities in favor of those for us by the Lord Jesus Christ in service of God. And God’s love is the way of the new life: love that is exhibited by joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Gal 5:22-23). Those are the characteristics of God’s love and He puts His characteristics within us whom He is ever remaking into His image.
The image that non-believers need to see in us is not pride, arrogance, hostility, defensiveness, demanding our ‘rights’ or seeking vengeance for evil done against us. They NEED to see this new nature in action so they can believe that God really has something that can change their own dreary and self-centered existence.
God’s Word in Colossians, quoted above, directs us to receive power from Him so that we can live wisely in the eyes of others. Our conversation should seem gracious and attractive to them.
If we ask Him, God will give us a ‘right response’ for all those He brings into our path. How about today?
