THE LONG WAY HOME
September 9, 2020

Prayer: Father, thank you for being there for me. Thank you for watching over me. Help me to make wise decisions. Amen

Scripture: “And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. Luke 15:20 NKJV

Jesus loves you and intercedes for you (Hebrews 7:25). If you’ve gotten off track in your prayer life and in your spiritual walk, it’s not too late to make a change. The prodigal son made a rash poor decision to leave home and squander all he had. If you’ve made a poor choice whether it was how you communicated with a parent, coworker, or student, it’s not too late to make it right.
Go to them and apologize. That’s what the prodigal son did. It may not be easy, but it is humbling. Humble people are teachable people. God would rather you be humble (Proverbs 16:19 & Matthew 23:12). A prideful heart leads to destruction (Proverbs 16:18). I encourage you to right any wrongs that you are aware of. Live in peace.
