OUR GREAT HIGH PRIEST ADVOCATES FOR US

Prayer: Oh Lord, we bow our hearts before You on this day of Your great sacrifice for us.
We have a great High Priest who has gone to heaven, Jesus the Son of God. Let us cling to him and never stop trusting him. Hebrews 4:14 NLT
Ever have one of those days when doubts creep up on you and you catch yourself wondering “Is God really listening to me?” I have. It’s very frustrating. But the same FAITH that God gave us when we believed in Christ as our Savior, the same FAITH that God gives us whenever we ask Him for power over the old nature, that same FAITH can comfort us at those moments too.We can recall truths given us in God’s word like Hebrews 4:14. It reminds us that there is a “GREAT HIGH PRIEST” and He is advocating for us. Think about it. Christ would never have gone through all He did if He were going to abandon us. No, He promised never to leave or forsake us but to remain within us always. So take comfort, God is listening. You can cling to Him by clinging to the simple child-like faith that He has already given you and will give you again and again whenever you ask.
May Good Friday bring us to think of all He has done for us.
