SCHOOL SUPPLIES
September 08, 2021

Prayer: We thank You and praise You, Oh Lord, that You have supplied us with all that we need for these students and this day.  Amen.

Scripture: And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ  Jesus. Philippians 4:19 NASB

I love new school supplies! I hope I never lose the excitement of opening a brand new box of crayons or the sharp cut of a new pair of scissors.

I pray that all of your students have the resources to start the year with new supplies. Many ministries and organizations have made an effort to collect and distribute school supplies for students who cannot afford them. Please know that we are praying that God will supply you with all that you need for this new school year. I hear from teachers all over the world who go through the entire year and never feel fully equipped to do their jobs.

God knew what you needed way before classroom rosters were typed up, and He will supply all your needs (your “school supplies”) fully and faithfully; just ask Him. Here are some verses for you to ponder as you process all the new supplies being brought into your room.

Ruler – Luke 6:38 give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.”

Glue & Pencils – Deut. 6: 5-9  You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise. Bind them as a sign on your hand, fix them as an emblem on your forehead, and write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

  • Prov. 3:3 Do not let loyalty and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

Scissors – Psalm 129:4 The Lord is righteous; he has cut the cords of the wicked.

Crayons – Isaiah 1:18 Come now, let us argue it out, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be like snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.

  • Psalm 23:2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters.
