COURAGE IN THE RECRUITING OFFICE PART 2
May 25, 2022

Prayer: Lord, help me stay committed to You in prayer and obedience in my professional life. Amen

Scripture: The prayer of a righteous person [educator] is powerful and effective. James 5:16 NIV

All those prayers are coming together now so you will do this well, fearless in your struggle, keeping a firm grip on your faith… After all, this is a fight we’re in. Timothy 1:14-16 MSG

You are in a recruiting office sitting across from Jesus at a desk. He pushes a letter across the desk for you to read and sign.

Dear Teacher,

You have been chosen to join the Public School Prayer Force. Prayer is the single greatest tool, strategy, and weapon you have to improve the institution of public education and to combat the darkness there. If you choose to join the Prayer Force you must: 1) pray in your classroom (office) secretly as my Spirit leads, 2) agree in prayer with other believers in your profession, 3) read my policy manual (the Bible) and follow the instructions, and 4) love all the students, parents, and staff you serve, even those that hate and hurt you.
Your Recruiting Officer,

Jesus

I accept this invitation to be a part of the Public School Prayer Force and understand my call and responsibilities that I can only fulfill with your help.

Reflection: Have I already or do I now sign this recruiting letter? Why or why not?

Getting Real: Sign the recruiting letter. Cut it out and put it somewhere where you can see it and be reminded daily.

Love this! The only other thing I’d add is that we are the hands and feet of Christ to all we meet in and out of school.

Signed on in 1985. Praise the Lord!
