YOU ARE NECESSARY AND IMPORTANT TO GOD

Prayer: Thank You, Lord, that You always see me. Help me see others and not run over them. Amen.
Scripture: All of you together are Christ’s body, and each one of you is a separate and necessary part.
1 Corinthians 12:27 NLT
Perhaps yesterday was ‘one of THOSE days;’ you know, those days when things happen to make you feel about two inches tall and worth a penny.
Sometimes people come running through our life on such a dead run toward their goal that they don’t even notice they have knocked us down! But their urgency may have seemed greater to them at that moment, while ours was not and yet we wonder why they didn’t think of our own urgency?
We begin to pout and fume over their lack of caring for us! Then, we are off on our own dead run and we keep bumping into things that make us feel worth less and less, and less! We must stop that cycle.
If the runner breezes through our life not noticing us, why can’t we breathe a short prayer for his or her safety and direction?
When we remember what God’s word has already told us– that each one of us has a special place, an important role in the life of Christ’s church that no one else can play, then we don’t need to insist that the runners stop and notice us. God has noticed us! What more could we want?
You are necessary– I am necessary, and that thoughtless runner is necessary. God will speak to him or her when it is the right time. In the meantime, let’s just rejoice over how precious we are to our Lord and Savior, and how much we love Him! That will bring our views of ‘those days’ up to a much higher level.
