You’ll also have opportunities to purchase additional group term life insurance and other important insurance coverage’s at affordable group rates through the Trust for Insuring Educators (TIE). Eligibility Guidelines (subject to change)

You will be eligible for CEAI’s new-member no-cost insurance benefit if you:

Are a U.S. resident (except NV, OR, SD, VT)
Are a new member of cEAI or another professional association affiliated with the Trust for Insuring Educators
Are age 18 to 59 on the policy issue date, which is the first day of the month following receipt and approval of your enrollment by New York Life Company
Are not a current or past policyholder of a TIE Group Term Life Insurance plan
Have not applied in the past and been turned down for a TIE Group Term Life Insurance plan
