APPOINTMENT WITH GOD
January 31, 2018

Prayer:  Lord, please help me with the things that are bothering me today.  Thank you very much for listening and for caring.  Please show me the path that I should take.

Scripture: Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.  He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Isaiah 40:28-29 NIV

Have you ever needed to make an appointment with someone prominent – or at least very busy – only to find out that it will be weeks or even months until they will see you? Even if your need to talk with them is urgent, it may not get you through their door any sooner. Maybe they are not interested in your situation or just do not want to get involved.

Perhaps you have gone to see someone about a private matter only to have that person blab the contents of your meeting. Perhaps you thought that they could help you with a solution, but they just became a bigger part of the problem.

It is important to make sure that you talk to the right authority, the one who can help you and who is available to see you whenever you need without an appointment…God. He will listen anytime, anywhere. He is always interested and concerned for you. He wants to be deeply involved in your life. He has all of the facts and His information is not hearsay or one-sided. He is the one who can definitely change things and there is no possibility of backlash for going to talk to Him. He is wise and just. He knows the solution and the path to take to get there. He will direct you to earthly counsel and help that He has ordained to assist you before you ever knew of your need.

The One true expert on all matters is available to you…no appointment necessary. As a matter of fact, He has probably been waiting for you to come to Him about something that you have been trying to take care of yourself, in other ways, without His help.
