Prayer:  Lord, helps us to have a good attitude and not complain as we go about our daily tasks.

Scripture: “Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.  Then you will shine like stars in the sky . Philippians 2:14-15 NIV

Even as adults, there are many times we are given a task and we spend at least the first few minutes, if not the whole job, complaining about it. We sound like our students who moan and groan when we give them an assignment. God promises us that we will never be given more than we can handle.

We should look at each task as a challenge to show off what we are made of and do it to the BEST of our ability, just as we expect from our students. Face every day with the same enthusiasm you had on the first day of school.

How can each of us carryout the attribute of being enthusiastic in our daily environment (classroom, hallways, meetings, cafeteria, office, etc.)?

I must disagree. God does sometimes give us way more than we alone can handle. It is during these times, when we must fully rely on Him to get us through. My husband die unexpectedly at 44 while running. Four weeks later pipes burst and flooded my house, ten months later my mom dies of a heart attack. This was way more than I could ever handle alone. He gave me strength. Through Him I was able to make it through. I would have crumbled if He wasn’t there to carry me through and show me His sovereignty through it all.
