PEACE AND REST IN JESUS ALONE

Prayer: Dear Lord, Please help me rest in You today. May Your peace cover me like a blanket. Thank You. Amen.
Scripture: In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8 NIV
The world is in constant turmoil. Everyone seems to be scrambling to get his or her own way. Pressure never seems to end to give this person or that person more service, more attention, more respect, more financial advantage, more, more, more.
But for the Christ follower, there is a wondrous release valve– the Holy Spirit. When we live our lives yielded to God and obedient to what He teaches us in the Scriptures that we routinely ‘hide in our hearts,’ then there is a peace, that, according to the Lord’s teaching, exceeds all understanding.
I pray this day is one in which you will be at rest in the Lord’s peace and safety.
