BEARS OUR BURDENS

Prayer: Father, thank you for daily bearing my burdens. Today I choose to let you bear my burdens rather than taking them all on myself. I trust you and surrender again to you today.
Scripture: Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. Psalm 68:19 NIV
There are many burdens to being an educator: students that have learning disabilities, disgruntled parents, new curriculum and standards, deadlines and all the human factors. Brothers and sisters! We have the Lord, our God Who bears our burdens. Don’t take them all on yourself. Let Him bear them. What a gift. I love how the KJV doesn’t even mention burdens, but instead describes His action as “daily loadeth us with benefits.” As Christ followers, we have the distinct benefit of casting our burdens upon Him because He cares for us. Don’t take on any unnecessary burdens when the Lord of the universe has already bore it all for us.
