FRIENDSHIP WITH GOD
February 28, 2020

Prayer: Father, what an honor that you, the Lord of the universe, would chose to be friends with me! I long to be an educator with you rather than for you. Show me how to stay in a place where your friendship can find me and help me to better listen to the words that you are speaking.

Scripture: The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them.
Psalm 25:14 NIV

The Lord is our friend. That is an unfathomable statement, even a bit disrespectful when you don’t know the Lord. God is clearly promising His friendship to us when we fear Him. How can fear and friendship possibly go together? Awe may be a more understandable word than fear, but nonetheless, we stand in awe that the God of the universe has time for us and makes known to us the hope of His promises. No matter how hard your day in school is today, you can rest in the promise of His friendship and love.

Quote for the Day: A little consideration, a little thought for others, makes all the difference. A.A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh
