CHOICES

Prayer: Thank you, Lord Jesus, for giving me life. I pray that you would help me live it to the full, no matter the circumstances I am in right now.
Scripture: The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10 NIV
My grown daughter has lost her job in the restaurant business.
My elderly in-laws are house bound over in the next town.
Schools have closed their doors for face to face classrooms.
Our church cannot meet together at the building.
Many have lost loved ones.
I am afraid I may get sick or give disease to others.
Our stores are full of empty shelves.
Our retirement savings may be gone.
I woke up this morning before the alarm remembering an article I read recently that said life as we know it will be forever changed. Suddenly, I realized with comfort that the idea of being forever changed sounded familiar, albeit on different level. My mind quickly went to the promise of Jesus that he came to bring us life to the full. When I came to Jesus, my life changed forever.
Our circumstances may not be what we would choose, but because of Jesus….
We can choose joy.
We can choose to appreciate the small things.
We can choose to be grateful.
We can choose to make the best of things.
We can choose peace.
We can choose hope.
We can choose… life!
