REFRESHED AND EMPOWERED

Prayer: I am grateful today, Lord, that You are always with me and will give me strength for the job and journey You have put before me. Amen.
Scripture: The water I give them takes away thirst altogether. It becomes a perpetual spring within them, giving them eternal life. John 4:14NLT
I was in a hot and dry place not too long ago, working on a project. I was so intent on my project that I did not notice my basic physical feelings. I started feeling dizzy and it became hard to focus. Then I realized I had not had anything to drink for several hours and yet was perspiring much in the 110 degree heat. I found my way to my store of cool water bottles and started to drink. Before I realized it, I had drunk the entire bottle without stopping. I was THIRSTY! How wonderful it would be if I didn’t have to interrupt what I was doing to go and find water to refresh my parched mouth and body.
My Soul is like that as well. It needs refreshing and recharging. God’s Holy Spirit has that power and He refreshes us when we go to Him. With the Holy Spirit residing within, there is a continual springing up of God’s refreshing and I can continue the tasks He has placed before me.
I pray this day is one in which you draw from God’s unending spring of cool refreshing strength as you face the giants before you and conquer in Jesus’ name.
