THE POWERFUL STRATEGIST
August 18, 2020

Prayer: Lord, You are the author and finisher of my faith. I trust You and Your plan for my life. I bind the enemy’s plan for my life. I decree and declare that I will walk in the destiny that You’ve designed for me. Thank you for delivering me from the snare of the fowler. I’m grateful for Your manifested protection over my life. Take over me. Holy Spirit have your way in my life. In Jesus’s name, amen.

Scripture: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord , thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV

We’re all familiar with writing various styles of lesson plans for different subject areas. Have you given any thought as to how the lesson plans impact your students’ future? Have you thought about their futures pass the period or block that they’re in your class? I encourage you to look at the bigger picture. It’s not just a lesson on a particular skill.

For example, when you are teaching place value, that’s a lifelong skill that students can use to be good stewards over their finances. When you’re teaching a language lesson, you’re giving your students skills to be effective speakers and writers, like Paul, who wrote nearly all the New Testament.

God has a plan for each of our lives. He gives us strategies to be successful. For example, during a battle God instructed Joshua to burn his enemy’s chariots and cripple their horses ( Joshua 11:6). That was a successful strategy to win.

You aren’t insignificant in your students’ future. You play a vital part in molding and shaping their minds and futures. What you do in your classroom is extremely important. Don’t ever downplay your role in their lives.
