STRENGTH & WAITING
September 30, 2020

Prayer: May we please have Your glorious power this day.  Thank You. Amen.

Scripture: We also pray that you will be strengthened with His glorious power so you will have all the patience and endurance you need.  May you be filled with joy.  Colossians 1:11 NLT

Whatever you may be facing today, there is strength for you to receive.

Don’t look for just the things you THINK you want now. God has a way of answering our prayers so that what we receive is far better than we could ‘ask or imagine’ (Eph. 3:20). But the one clear and most important answer that God has for our prayers today is that we be strengthened. And look just what it is that is used to strengthen you today! It is God’s ‘glorious power.’ What power can’t do, ‘glorious power’ does in abundance. And the result of our strengthening with the Lord’s ‘glorious power,’ is that our patience and our ability to endure are extended to the level of our need.

Whatever we need to endure, however long we need to wait for a thing to be fulfilled or resolved, Christ-followers have the ability to endure and wait without sensing frustration or discouragement. Rather, they receive deep and abiding joy to fill their days and their ministry.

I pray this day is filled with God’s peace for you as you wait upon the Lord Jesus Christ to guide you and equip you in His service.

“Lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other’s faults because of your love. Always keep yourselves united with the Holy Spirit and bind yourselves together with peace.” Ephesians 4:1-3 NLT
