ON THE SIDE OF THE OPPRESSED

Prayer: Lord thank you for the way you are consistently on the side of the oppressed and the outcast. Show me the students you want me to seek out this week as I seek to be like you.
Scripture: The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. Psalm 103:6 NIV
Have you ever seen the Disney movie, Hunchback of Notre Dame?There is a beautiful song called, “God Help the Outcast,” which reminds me of this verse. We have many students who are outcasts and we can be their greatest source of prayer, counseling and encouragement.
For most of us that doesn’t come naturally, but with Jesus Christ living in us, all things are made possible. Make an effort to seek out the outcast among your students and give them special opportunities to get to know you. Be contagious for Christ.
