IT’S ONLY A TEST
April 27, 2022

Prayer: Heavenly Father I trust You. I know that You would not leave me. I thank You for hearing my prayers and answering. I lean into You for strength. In Jesus’s name. Amen

Scripture: And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved. Matthew 10: 22 NKJV

If we’re going to serve Christ wholeheartedly and in spirit and truth, then we are going to face persecution and tests. Jesus said in Matthew 10:22 that we would be hated by all for His name’s sake. Jesus was hated by many. Through persecution we must walk in love. Jesus gave the perfect example of how to walk in love.

Several years ago, a parent of one of my students decided she didn’t like me and tried her best to cause trouble for me. It went as far as the superintendent coming to visit my classroom. At the time, I didn’t know what I know now. I became very angry and irritated. Thank God, the superintendent found no fault in me and the issue dissolved.

I encourage you to respond differently than I did. I encourage you to pray and ask God for discernment. Using discernment is wisdom to know when God is testing you, the enemy is attacking you, and it brings awareness to who is for or against you. Using discernment will save you a lot of trouble. Remember Luke 6:28 KJV: “Bless those who curse you, and pray for them who despitefully use you.”

In closing, I urge you to declare daily that you’ll walk in love as Christ did. Let’s imitate Christ in every area of our lives. Don’t lose footing in your faith when persecution comes. Jehovah-nissi fights for us. Be blessed.

Woke up very early full of thoughts: sadness from losing a sweet friend in a bizarre accident, thankful for a day with many of my students on a field trip, thankful for 2 Godly son-In-laws, 2 amazing grandsons and the peace that our loving Savior provides. In the dark I praise him! He is with me, me, but a sinner saved by grace! Thank you for your devotion today!

You have no idea how timely this is. A bomb was dropped on me on Friday that I never saw coming. I e been struggling to figure out how to respond, and i finally sent an email requesting a meeting in person with all parties in order to address the issues.
I received a lame response, and that made me sadder and sicker to think that I have worked very hard and sacrificed so much only to be pushed aside. But this devotional is just in time to help me return to the building and do my job calmly and effectively , while allowing God to show me the truth of the situation, and the path forward. Without destruction. Thank you so much
